Mobb Deep Releases First Posthumous Single, Announces October Album

Hip-hop duo Mobb Deep, originally consisting of Havoc and Prodigy, announced their first new album since 2014, titled Infinite, set for release on October 10 via Mass Appeal. The album is notable as Prodigy's second posthumous release following his death in 2017, with Havoc producing much of the music alongside The Alchemist. The lead single, "Against the World," showcases classic Mobb Deep energy—dark, raw, and unfiltered—while blending bluesy trumpet and soulful elements, reflecting the sound that shaped their legacy and continues to resonate in contemporary hip-hop. Infinite is part of Mass Appeal's Legend Has It campaign, which also features projects from other hip-hop icons like Nas, Slick Rick, Raekwon, and Ghostface Killah. Havoc will tour with Raekwon in 2025 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Mobb Deep's iconic album The Infamous, further promoting the new work. The project is seen as a full-circle moment that honors Prodigy's memory and the duo's enduring influence on the genre.
