House Fire Kills One Adult Four Children Pennsylvania Poconos
A devastating house fire in Franklin Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania, resulted in the deaths of five people, including one adult woman and four children. The fire, which broke out shortly before midnight, completely engulfed the first floor and affected the second floor, making rescue efforts impossible. Among the victims were three students from the Lehighton Area School District: a kindergartner, a first grader, and a ninth grader. The community and school district have responded by providing grief counseling and emotional support to students and residents impacted by the tragedy. Local organizations have also organized donation drives to support the affected families. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and fire marshals.
