Woman, 67, killed, two teenagers seriously injured in Dumfries and Galloway crash
A 67-year-old woman has died and two teenagers have been seriously injured following a two-car crash involving a grey Ford Ka and a white Seat Ibiza on the A75 between Castle Douglas and Bridge of Dee in Dumfries and Galloway. The crash occurred around 8:50pm on Saturday, with all three individuals taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, where the female driver of the Seat Ibiza later died. The 19-year-old male driver and 16-year-old female passenger of the Ford Ka remain in hospital with serious injuries. The road was closed overnight to allow for police investigations and reopened the following morning. Police have appealed for witnesses and dash-cam footage to assist with ongoing inquiries. Sergeant Lloyd Caven extended condolences to the woman’s family and emphasized that investigations are continuing.
