90-Year-Old Man Killed in Oakland Township Crash
William Frederick Stanley Jr., a 90-year-old resident of Rochester Hills, died in a head-on collision after his truck crossed the centerline on an icy road in Oakland Township. The accident occurred around 9:26 a.m. on Rochester Road and Lonesome Oak Drive, where his 2002 GMC Sierra collided with a northbound 2024 Dodge Ram driven by a 44-year-old man who was unharmed. It is unclear if Stanley was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident. The second driver was confirmed to have been wearing a seatbelt. The crash is currently under investigation by the Oakland County Sheriff's crash reconstruction unit.
