Two baby elephants were born at Nong Nooch Tropical Garden in Thailand. The celebration of the twins' arrival featured a religious blessing from two temple abbots and a vibrant procession. The babies, Plai Mitthuna and Pang Nong Joon, are in excellent health, and the sanctuary is home to a total of 77 elephants. The survival of twins is rare, and they are being given supplemental milk to ensure they receive adequate nourishment. The birth was a rare event that left a caregiver injured while protecting the newborns.
