Tushar Sahu, the 21-year-old nephew of Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, drowned in the Rani Dahra waterfall during a picnic with friends on Friendship Day. After entering the waterfall to swim, he failed to resurface, prompting a 16-hour search operation by police and divers. His body was eventually found trapped under a rock the following morning. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Raman Singh expressed their condolences, describing the incident as tragic. Preliminary investigations indicate drowning as the cause of death, and further inquiries are ongoing. Tushar was a resident of Bemetara district and the son of the Deputy Chief Minister's sister.
