Adani Group Rs 6,000 Cr Healthcare Investment with Mayo

The Adani Group has announced a substantial investment of Rs 6,000 crore to establish two 1,000-bed hospitals and medical colleges in Mumbai and Ahmedabad, in partnership with the Mayo Clinic. These facilities, named Adani Health Cities, aim to provide affordable, world-class healthcare and medical education, with each campus accommodating 150 undergraduate students and numerous residents and fellows. The initiative is part of a larger Rs 60,000 crore commitment by the Adani family to enhance healthcare, education, and skill development across India. The Mayo Clinic will provide strategic guidance to ensure these hospitals meet global standards, focusing on complex disease care and medical innovation. The campuses will also feature advanced research facilities and step-down care units, expanding the healthcare infrastructure in India, which currently spends a low percentage of GDP on health. This project represents the Adani Group's broader vision to revolutionize India's healthcare landscape, with plans for more health campuses nationwide.
