UPS Driver, Accomplice Arrested in Texas Package Theft Scheme

A UPS driver, Jason M. Zubia, 44, and accomplice Monica Almanza, 46, have been arrested in Horizon City, Texas, for allegedly stealing delivery packages intended for local residents. The investigation began in February after multiple complaints of residents receiving empty packages or not receiving their deliveries at all. Following collaboration with the UPS Security Team, police executed a search warrant at Zubia's residence, recovering numerous sealed packages addressed to Horizon City, as well as discarded boxes and narcotics. Both suspects face felony charges including theft of property valued over $30,000 and possession of controlled substances, with Zubia's bond set at $100,000 and Almanza's at $35,000. Authorities suspect there may be additional victims who have not yet reported the thefts and are encouraging them to come forward. Residents can contact Sgt. L.
