AAP to Contest Delhi Elections Alone, Criticizes Rivals

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced it will contest the upcoming Delhi assembly elections independently, criticizing both Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). AAP accused Congress of overconfidence and arrogance, particularly after its poor performance in the Haryana elections and failure to form an alliance. Priyanka Kakkar, AAP's spokesperson, highlighted Congress's lack of seats in Delhi for the past decade and blamed its inability to collaborate effectively in Haryana. Despite the past alliance during the Lok Sabha polls, AAP felt undervalued as Congress did not incorporate its allies in Haryana. AAP's Raghav Chadha expressed confidence in AAP's ability to defeat BJP in Delhi without any alliance support, citing successful past elections. Both parties failed to agree on seat-sharing, leading to a collapse in alliance talks, while BJP secured a third consecutive term in Haryana.
