Manchester United to play friendlies in Malaysia, Hong Kong

Manchester United has announced a post-season tour to Asia, playing friendly matches in Malaysia and Hong Kong after the Premier League season concludes on May 25. The team will face the ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur on May 28, followed by a match against the Hong Kong representative team on May 30, marking their first visit to the city since 2013. This trip is expected to generate around $10 million in revenue and underscores the club's strong fan base in the region. The matches will take place shortly before United's international players join their national teams. The tour follows United's recent exhibition match in Bangkok in July 2022 and reflects the club's ongoing engagement with its Asian supporters. Chief Executive Omar Berrada emphasized the financial benefits of such tours for enhancing the club's competitiveness on the pitch.
