Hybe Posts Record Q2 Revenue on Global Tours, Concerts

South Korean music company Hybe reported record-breaking second-quarter financial results, with revenues increasing 10.2% year-on-year to approximately $507.7 million and operating profits rising 29% to about $47.4 million. The growth was driven primarily by robust concert revenues, which surged 31% to $135.7 million, fueled by successful tours from BTS members Jin and J-Hope, Seventeen, Enhypen, Le Sserafim, and Boynextdoor, as well as strong fan engagement on the Weverse platform, which reached 10.9 million monthly active users and peaked at 12 million following BTS members' military service completion. Despite a decline of 8.4% in recorded music revenue due to broader market challenges in physical album sales, merchandise, licensing, and fan club revenues saw significant increases, supporting overall profitability. The company anticipates continued strength in concert and performance sectors with upcoming tours planned for the latter half of the year. Hybe's CEO emphasized ongoing innovation in music, platforms, and technology to maintain its leadership in the global music industry.
