Disney Releases Zootopia 2 Teaser Introducing Ke Huy Quan’s Gary De’Snake

Disney has released the teaser trailer for Zootopia 2, the sequel to the 2016 Academy Award-winning animated film. The story follows rookie cops Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they investigate a new mystery involving Gary De’Snake, a slippery pit viper voiced by Ke Huy Quan, who shakes up the animal metropolis with chaos that leads the duo to explore new parts of the city, including marshes and desert dunes. Alongside returning voices Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, new characters such as Nibbles the beaver and Dr. Fuzzby the quokka therapist expand the universe, while pop icon Gazelle, voiced by Shakira, returns with new songs and choreography. The film is directed and written by Jared Bush, co-directed by Byron Howard, and produced by Yvett Merino, promising a wild ride through an expanded Zootopia filled with fresh characters and a deeper look into the city’s diverse districts. The trailer features an original techno song by the lemming band LEMEEENS, adding energetic flair to the teaser. Zootopia 2 is scheduled for theatrical release on November 26, 2025, with Disney aiming to deliver another critical and commercial success.
