Suspected DUI Crash Kills 6 Injures 2 Napa County

A tragic single-vehicle crash in rural Napa County on Sunday evening resulted in six fatalities and two serious injuries. The incident occurred on Pope Valley Road near Pope Valley Union Elementary School when a Toyota Sienna minivan carrying nine people veered off the road and struck a tree. Six occupants were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and another passenger were airlifted to hospitals with major injuries. The driver was arrested at the hospital on suspicion of DUI causing injury and death. The crash led to the closure of Pope Valley Road for several hours as the California Highway Patrol conducted their investigation. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims.
