RideLondon Cycling Event Cancelled for 2025

RideLondon, a major cycling event featuring mass participation rides and a Women's UCI WorldTour race, will not take place in 2025 as the organizing team plans a strategic review and a new concept. Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, emphasized the need for a pause to engage stakeholders and design an event that attracts more riders of all ages and abilities. The event, which started as a legacy of the 2012 London Olympics, has previously inspired over 300,000 people and raised more than £85 million for charity. Full refunds will be issued to those who registered for the 2025 event. Local officials expressed disappointment but are committed to the event's future revival. The hiatus follows the cancellation of the RideLondon Classique pro race for 2025 due to scheduling conflicts.
