Anti-Drug Operations Yield Major Ganja Seizures

In recent anti-drug operations across India, law enforcement agencies have made several significant seizures of ganja and arrests. In Chennai, three individuals were sentenced to 12 years in prison for smuggling 60 kg of ganja from Andhra Pradesh, while another operation led to the arrest of four people and the seizure of 200 kg of ganja worth ₹20 lakh, hidden in a banana-laden vehicle. In Vijayawada, police seized 145 kg of ganja from two Tamil Nadu natives, and in Madurai, two individuals were arrested with 85 kg of ganja smuggled from Odisha. Furthermore, a farmer in Khargone district was arrested for cultivating ganja plants worth Rs 75 lakh using modern agricultural techniques. These coordinated efforts highlight the ongoing battle against drug trafficking across different Indian states.
