Mother Jailed for Smuggling MDMA Into Creamfields

Sian Bullock, a 35-year-old mother of four from Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire, was sentenced to three years in prison after being caught trying to smuggle 64 MDMA tablets, valued up to £630, into Creamfields festival in Cheshire in August 2023. The tablets were hidden in two Kinder Egg containers concealed in her body and discovered when a drugs dog alerted security. Bullock claimed the drugs were for personal use and said she did not know exactly what they were, but she was charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs and pleaded guilty. The judge highlighted the seriousness of the offense and said a custodial sentence was necessary despite her parental responsibilities. Police Constable Lisa Green noted that festivalgoers are repeatedly warned against smuggling drugs and there are several opportunities to surrender illegal substances before entry. As a result, Bullock's four children will be without their mother for a significant period.
