Two Seriously Injured in Stamford Crash

A serious two-car crash occurred in Stamford on Thursday night at approximately 10:34 p.m. when a 55-year-old Stamford resident driving a 2008 Chevy Suburban drifted across the centerline and collided with a 2019 Cadillac SUV driven by an 88-year-old New York resident. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, necessitating the extrication of both drivers by the Stamford Fire Department. Initially believed to have life-threatening injuries, both drivers were later assessed to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Stamford Hospital. High Ridge Road was closed for several hours during the investigation, which is being conducted by the Stamford Police's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad. Authorities have requested that any witnesses contact them with information about the crash.
