Disney's First Amendment Lawsuit against DeSantis Dismissed

A US judge has dismissed Disney's lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and his allies. The company had sued, alleging the governor and his board violated its First Amendment rights in response to Disney opposing Florida's 'Parental Rights in Education' law, also known as the 'Don't Say Gay' law. DeSantis had also moved to dissolve Disney's governing district overseeing Walt Disney World, a move that Disney asked the court to reverse. The judge ruled that Disney lacked standing to sue, but the company has indicated it will appeal the ruling. Disney's state lawsuit against DeSantis and his allies is still ongoing.
