BTS' J-Hope Completes Military Service

BTS member J-Hope completed his mandatory South Korean military service on October 17, 2024, becoming the second member after Jin to be discharged. J-Hope expressed gratitude to fans for their unwavering support and emphasized the dedication of soldiers in protecting the country. Despite the agency BigHit Music advising fans against visiting the military base to avoid overcrowding, around 100 fans and reporters gathered to celebrate his return. The agency did not plan any special events for the discharge day, noting it coincided with the return of many service members. Following his discharge, J-Hope is expected to resume his music career, with BTS potentially reuniting in 2025 after all members complete their military duties. The discharge has positively impacted HYBE's stock as it coincides with a challenging period for the agency, including legal issues and a dip in share prices due to controversies involving other members.
