Ex-Olympian Wanted for Drug Ring and Murders

Former Canadian Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding, 43, is wanted by the FBI on charges of running a transnational drug trafficking ring and orchestrating multiple murders. Wedding is accused of leading a criminal enterprise that shipped hundreds of kilograms of cocaine annually from Colombia through Mexico to Canada and the U.S., and is linked to several homicides, including a mistaken identity killing of a Canadian family. Wedding, believed to be residing in Mexico, faces eight felony charges in the U.S., including conspiracy to distribute cocaine and murder. He is one of 16 individuals charged in the operation, with the FBI offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Wedding also faces separate, unresolved drug charges in Canada dating back to 2015, following a previous U.S. conviction for cocaine distribution. Authorities have arrested 12 of the 16 charged, with operations revealing seizures of cocaine, weapons, and over $3 million in cryptocurrency.
