Verstappen's Perfect Weekend Narrows Piastri Lead

Max Verstappen took pole, won the Sprint and delivered a perfect weekend by winning the United States Grand Prix in Austin. The result was his third win in four races and cut Oscar Piastri’s championship lead from 104 points to about 40. Red Bull deputy team principal Laurent Mekies called Verstappen’s form “history in the making.” Piastri remained outwardly calm after Austin, calling a 40‑point cushion a healthy margin and attributing McLaren’s weaker pace to a conservative ride‑height setup and limited practice time. MSC Cruises served as title sponsor of the 2025 United States Grand Prix and has confirmed continued title‑sponsorship involvement for 2026 races in Austin, Barcelona and São Paulo.
