Israeli Authorities Dismantle Iranian Spy Ring

Israeli authorities have arrested 14 individuals, primarily Israeli nationals, accused of espionage for Iran, marking one of the most serious security breaches in the country's history. Seven of the suspects, aged 16 to 23, were detained for gathering intelligence on military bases and critical infrastructure, which they allegedly relayed to Iranian agents over a two-year period. Their activities included surveillance of air force installations and Israel's Iron Dome defense system, as well as plans to assassinate Israeli officials. The group reportedly received substantial financial compensation, including payments in cryptocurrency, for their actions. Israeli security services, including Shin Bet, described the operation as a significant threat to national security. Legal proceedings are expected to follow as indictments are prepared by the prosecutor's office.
