Fortnite, Easy Anti-Cheat Support Coming to Snapdragon PCs

Epic Games and Qualcomm have partnered to enable Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) on Snapdragon Windows devices, paving the way for Fortnite and other multiplayer games to be compatible with these ARM-based systems. This initiative addresses a key limitation in Snapdragon PCs, which previously struggled with gaming due to anti-cheat software incompatibility. The collaboration marks a significant step towards expanding the gaming capabilities of Windows on ARM, allowing games reliant on EAC like Apex Legends and Destiny 2 to run on Snapdragon devices. Qualcomm’s commitment to improving game compatibility on its Snapdragon chips is part of a broader effort to grow its presence in the PC gaming market. Epic Games will also release an Epic Online Services SDK, enabling developers to integrate EAC support into their own games. The support for Fortnite is expected to be available later this year, serving as a test case for ensuring robust anti-cheat support across Snapdragon-powered Windows devices.
