RTÉ Unveils Cast for The Walsh Sisters Comedy Drama

RTÉ and the BBC have announced the lead cast for the upcoming comedy drama series The Walsh Sisters, inspired by Marian Keyes' novels, particularly Rachel's Holiday and Anybody Out There. The show, directed by Ian Fitzgibbon, is set in Dublin and follows the lives of five sisters navigating the complexities of adulthood. Louisa Harland will portray Anna Walsh, with Caroline Menton as Rachel, Danielle Galligan as Claire, BAFTA-nominated Máiréad Tyers as Helen, and Stefanie Preissner playing Maggie while also serving as the series' writer. Aidan Quinn will play the father, Jack Walsh, alongside Carrie Crowley as Mammy Walsh, and Debi Mazar will join the cast as Chaquie. The series aims to blend humor with serious themes, exploring family dynamics amid challenges like heartbreak and addiction. It is set to premiere in the Fall and is being produced by Cuba Pictures and Metropolitan Films International in association with Screen Ireland.
