Although the 49ers coaching staff, including head coach Kyle Shanahan, are cautious due to the potential risks of Achilles tendinitis, they have not considered placing him on Injured Reserve. The team successfully managed without him in the opener, with backup Jordan Mason rushing for 147 yards.
