Body of Missing Oregon Toddler Found in Siletz River

The body of 2-year-old Dane Paulsen, who went missing from his home in Siletz, Oregon, was recovered from the Siletz River approximately three miles downstream from his family's property after an extensive search. Dane was last seen playing in his yard on March 1, prompting a large-scale search effort that included ground and aerial searches. Volunteer diver Juan Heredia, who has a history of assisting in similar cases, located the boy's body 10 days after he was reported missing. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office expressed deep condolences to Dane's family and acknowledged the community's support during the search. The exact cause of death is currently under investigation by the medical examiner. Sheriff Adam Shanks emphasized the community's collective sorrow over this tragic loss.
