Dallas Jewish Community Engages with OU Kosher Programming
The Bi-Cultural Hebrew Academy of Connecticut (BCHA) and the JEC Lower School recently celebrated Tu B’Shevat with engaging activities centered around nature and community. At BCHA, students participated in a festive seder, created Grass Heads, and painted pots to grow their own plants, while also enjoying a musical assembly. The JEC Lower School featured a sing-along, storytelling, and hands-on games like ברכות bingo, culminating in a fruit bar and tree-themed cupcakes for lunch. Additionally, fourth and fifth graders contributed to a local community garden by planting vegetables. These celebrations highlighted the importance of environmental appreciation and community engagement among students. Both schools emphasized unity, joy, and the significance of Tu B’Shevat in their educational programs.
