Survivor 49 Films 18 Castaways in Fiji Ahead of Season Premiere

Survivor returns with its 49th season, premiering on CBS on September 24, featuring 18 new contestants competing in Fiji for a million-dollar prize. Among the cast is Nate Moore, a former Marvel executive and producer known for his work on Black Panther and other Marvel projects, who recently left Marvel to become an independent producer. The cast is diverse, including professionals such as a political communications director, a law clerk, a financial crime consultant, a correctional officer, a musician, a rocket scientist, and others. This season marks the final installment with new contestants before the 50th season, which will feature returning players and is set to premiere in spring 2026. Two players from Season 49 will immediately return to compete in the 50th season, which will also include notable personalities like Mike White from The White Lotus. The show continues to be hosted and run by Jeff Probst, a four-time Emmy winner, who has never missed an episode in 25 years and is nominated again for Best Reality Host and Best Competition Program at the 2025 Emmys.
