A 38-year-old woman from Genesee County, Michigan, won a $500,000 top prize from the Michigan Lottery's Triple Red 777s instant game after buying a ticket at a Sunoco gas station on Miller Road in Flint. The woman, who usually plays Cashword scratch off tickets, purchased the Triple Red 777s ticket when her preferred games were sold out and was initially unsure she had won until she double-checked her ticket. She described her reaction as shock and disbelief, saying, "You never think it will be you who wins the big one." With her winnings, she plans to buy a new house and car. The Triple Red 777s game, launched in March, costs $5 per ticket and offers prizes ranging from $5 to $500,000, with more than $14 million in prizes still available, including two remaining $500,000 top prizes. The Michigan Lottery confirmed she recently claimed her prize at their headquarters.
