Power Outages Affect Hundreds in Devon

Recent power outages across the UK have left hundreds of properties without electricity due to various network faults. In Wimblington, an overhead network fault caused by a fallen tree affected over 860 properties, but power was restored to 403 by early morning after engineers worked through the night. In Devon, a high-voltage incident left 155 homes without power, with some already restored, while another outage impacted nearly 100 properties, forcing the closure of Woodlands Park Primary School. Additionally, over 1,100 properties near Exeter experienced a power cut due to another fault in the overhead network, with restoration expected around 1pm. UK Power Networks and National Grid engineers are actively addressing these issues, ensuring that power is being restored as quickly as possible.
