Martin Starr Joins Cast of Cradle Remake

20th Century Studios is set to begin production on a remake of the 1992 thriller 'The Hand That Rocks the Cradle', starring Maika Monroe as the nanny, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as the mother, and Raúl Castillo as the husband. Martin Starr has recently joined the cast, portraying the family's neighbor, who becomes a source of assistance for Winstead's character. Directed by Michelle Garza Cervera and written by Micah Bloomberg, the film adapts the story of a woman who infiltrates a family with sinister intentions following her own tragic loss. The original film, known for its suspense and chilling plot, featured Rebecca De Mornay as the vengeful nanny and Annabella Sciorra as the unsuspecting mother. Filming is scheduled to start later this month in Los Angeles, although no release details have been announced yet. This reimagining is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the classic thriller while maintaining its core themes of deception and danger.
