Demi Vollering Wins 2025 La Vuelta Femenina Overall

Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez) secured her second consecutive La Vuelta Femenina title by clinching overall victory with a solo attack in the final kilometre of the summit finish at Alto de Cotobello. Vollering finished 1 minute 1 second ahead of Marlen Reusser (Movistar) and 1 minute 17 seconds ahead of Anna van der Breggen (SD Worx-Protime), who returned to racing this season. This marks Vollering's first Grand Tour win since joining FDJ-Suez and the first Grand Tour victory for her new team. Vollering became the first female cyclist to earn over €1 million per season. She took control of the race after winning stage 5 at Lagunas de Neila and maintained her lead through the remaining stages.
