UK’s Largest Swingers Festival Draws 1,000 to Lincolnshire Village

Swingathon, Britain's largest swingers festival, has drawn around 1,000 attendees to the village of Allington near Grantham, Lincolnshire, for its fifth year. The three-day event offers a variety of adult-themed activities such as play tents, pole dancing, hot tubs, foam parties, mobile dungeons, and unique games like butt-plug bingo, with tickets priced at £200 for singles and £250 for couples. Organizers emphasize that Swingathon is an adult alternative lifestyle event that promotes safe sex, consent, inclusivity, and supports the LGBTQ+ and kink communities, countering local criticisms of the festival being "seedy" or disruptive. Festival founder Matthew Cole highlights that the community is respectful, conscientious, and typically more diligent about sexual health than average club-goers. Despite some past complaints from residents about noise, the event has moved to a larger, more rural location to minimize disturbance and works to challenge the stigma surrounding alternative sexual lifestyles. Attendees are encouraged to express themselves freely through clothing choices, including nudity, with some themed dress-up nights, while adhering to event rules to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
