Atlanta Woman Sues PNC Bank for Discrimination

Brandie Falice, a former employee of PNC Bank, has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the bank, claiming she was denied a promotion due to being a black single mother. During her interview for a management position, the regional manager allegedly cited discriminatory reasons, including the predominance of white customers and her inability to work weekends because of her parental responsibilities. Falice expressed feelings of discouragement and disrespect following the rejection, which she believes undermined her worth and efforts at the company. PNC Bank has denied the allegations, stating that Falice was treated fairly and consistent with company policies. Her attorney argues that the lawsuit is an opportunity for accountability regarding biases that affect women of color in the workplace. Falice has since transitioned to a new role as a Senior Account Executive at an IT company.
