Jaguar Land Rover Restarts UK, Slovakia Production After Major Cyberattack

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is beginning a phased restart of its manufacturing operations following a major cyber attack in early September 2025 that halted production and disrupted its supply chain. The restart commenced at the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, UK, with other key sites including Solihull, Halewood, and the Nitra plant in Slovakia expected to resume limited production soon. The UK government has pledged £1.5 billion in loan guarantees to support JLR and its suppliers, many of whom have faced severe cash flow problems during the disruption.
