Bob Dylan Announces November Release for New Art Book

Bob Dylan is set to release a new art book titled Point Blank (Quick Studies) on November 18, featuring about 100 black-and-white drawings created between 2021 and 2022. The collection includes portraits, still lifes, and landscapes, with subjects ranging from roller-skating lovers and a karaoke singer to a Parisian canal and a roll of Scotch tape. Several of these works are currently exhibited at the Halcyon Gallery in London through July 6. The book also contains vignettes by Jackie Hamilton, Lucy Sante, and Eddie Gorodetsky, who has collaborated with Dylan on previous projects. Alongside the art book, Simon & Schuster will release an unabridged audiobook edition of Dylan’s 2004 memoir, Chronicles: Volume 1, narrated by actor Sean Penn. This release continues Dylan’s longstanding engagement with visual art, which he has publicly exhibited since 2007, and follows his 2008 art book The Drawn Blank Series.
