Kent County Lottery Club Wins $2.86M Lotto 47 Jackpot

A three-person lottery club from Kent County won a $2.86 million Lotto 47 jackpot in the Nov. 27, 2024 drawing by matching the winning numbers 08-10-20-21-34-35. The winning ticket was purchased at the Coit Libation Station in Grand Rapids. After claiming their prize, the group opted for a one-time lump sum payment of approximately $2 million, resulting in each member receiving around $475,000 after taxes. The club, which has been playing together for about two years, expressed excitement over their win, with plans to pay bills and save for earlier retirement. Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli congratulated the winners, emphasizing the joy of winning with friends. Lotto 47 tickets cost $1 each, and drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday.
