Women's rowing in Bay Area

Team USA's women's water polo team achieved a decisive 10-3 victory over Italy, with five players from the Bay Area contributing to the score. The U.S. women's four rowing team demonstrated resilience by overcoming an early deficit to win their repechage and secure a spot in the A final. In lightweight women’s doubles sculls, Michelle Sechser and Molly Reckford advanced to the finals after finishing third in their semifinal heat. Other U.S. rowing pairs, including Jess Thoennes and Azja Czajkowski, also qualified for their finals. Meanwhile, Great Britain's women's quadruples sculls crew clinched gold in a thrilling finish against the Netherlands. Additionally, two rowers from Connecticut helped their team secure first place in the women's four and will compete in the finals on Thursday.
