Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps showcased their dominance in pairs figure skating by winning their second consecutive gold medal at the Finlandia Trophy with a score of 207.44 points, securing their spot at the upcoming Grand Prix Final. The Canadian duo maintained a strong lead from the short program, despite Stellato-Dudek experiencing a slip during the free skate after landing a challenging throw triple lutz. Hungary's Maria Pavlova and Alexei Sviatchenko took silver with 184.21 points, while Italy's Rebecca Ghilardi and Filippo Ambrosini earned bronze with 181.59 points. In the ice dance category, British pair Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson clinched gold with 203.22 points, while Canadians Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier settled for silver with 200.79 points. Stellato-Dudek expressed hopes for continuous improvement throughout the season, considering it a 'roller coaster ride'.
