West High Teacher Chad Brooks Indicted Multiple Statutory Rape Counts Knoxville

Chad Brooks, a 32-year-old teacher and coach at West High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, was indicted by a Knox County grand jury on multiple counts of aggravated statutory rape and statutory rape by an authority figure. Brooks was arrested on May 9 in Morristown and subsequently booked into the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility, later being released on GPS monitoring. The investigation began in early April after reports of inappropriate conduct with past and current students were brought to the Knoxville Police Department's Special Crimes Unit.
