UK Government Introduces Major Employment Rights Bill

The UK government is introducing an Employment Rights Bill aimed at significantly enhancing workers' rights, representing the largest overhaul in a generation. Key measures include immediate access to sick pay, maternity and paternity leave, and protections against unfair dismissal for nine million workers from their first day of employment. The reforms aim to ban zero-hour contracts and fire-and-rehire tactics, while also establishing flexible working as a default option.
