Arjun Singh's Residence Attacked in West Bengal

Arjun Singh, a former BJP MP, reported an attack on his residence in Barrackpore, West Bengal, claiming that bombs were thrown and multiple rounds of bullets were fired during the incident, which occurred while his family was engaged in Navratri puja. Singh alleged that the attack was orchestrated by Namit Singh, the son of a local TMC councillor, and accused the local police of inaction during the assault, which he described as involving at least 15 bombs and over a dozen gunshots. He sustained a minor splinter wound from the attack, which eyewitnesses noted filled the area with smoke. The TMC has dismissed Singh's claims, with local MLA Somenath Shyam arguing that Singh is blaming the party for his own political failures. BJP leaders responded by demanding a thorough investigation, with Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar expressing concern for safety in West Bengal.
