Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Michael Link, 28, was fatally shot in an ambush while responding to a disturbance call at a home in Eustis, Florida. Two other deputies were also wounded in the incident. When deputies entered the home after finding a kicked-in door, they were met with heavy gunfire, leading to Link being trapped inside. SWAT teams later stormed the house, resulting in the deaths of two suspects and a third suspect being hospitalized. In a separate incident in Lakewood, California, a man armed with two knives was critically wounded by deputies after refusing to comply and advancing towards them. Both incidents are under investigation by the respective sheriff’s departments.
