The BBC has announced new creative diversity commitments, increasing representation targets for TV production teams from 20% to 25% across ethnicity, disability, and socio-economic diversity. The BBC will invest a minimum of £80 million annually in projects that meet its diversity criteria, building on the £243 million already spent over the past three years. The Sir Lenny Henry Centre for Media Diversity has provided recommendations that include publishing annual intersectional analyses and ensuring productions meet new Inclusive Production Principles. These principles include providing specialist hair and makeup for diverse performers and ensuring accessibility on set.
