Capitals Defeat Sabres 4-2 at Home

Dylan Strome netted the eventual game-winner in the third period, while Jakob Chychrun sealed the win with an empty-net goal. The Sabres, who have now lost nine consecutive games, initially led with a goal from Jason Zucker and later tied the game with Jiri Kulich's goal. Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson made 19 saves, improving his record to 12-1-2 this season. The Capitals currently hold the best record in the NHL at 21-6-2.
