Salesforce's chairman and CEO Marc Benioff has proclaimed the emergence of an 'Indian era', emphasizing India's increasing significance in the global economy during the Dreamforce event. With over 11,000 employees in India, the company has made substantial investments in the region, catering to major clients like the Bajaj Group. Benioff expressed excitement about the opportunities stemming from India's rapid digital adoption and aims for a revenue target of $38 billion by FY25. At the event, Salesforce launched 'Agentforce', an AI solution designed to enhance business functions without the need for human intervention. He acknowledged the potential for job transformations due to AI, stressing the importance of careful management to address this issue. Benioff also praised Arundhati Bhattacharya, former SBI chairman, for her leadership in Salesforce's India operations.
