Memphis Police Detain Homicide Suspect After Chase With Baby

A man suspected of involvement in a May 5 homicide led Memphis police on a high-speed chase on May 13, 2025, after officers attempted a traffic stop in East Memphis. During the pursuit, the suspect discarded a firearm from the vehicle, which was recovered by police. The chase ended when the suspect lost control of his car and crashed near the 1900 block of Ezell Street, where he exited the vehicle, grabbed a baby from the back seat, and fled on foot.
