Lineage, Port NOLA Expand Bonded Warehouse, Boost Gulf Trade

Lineage, Inc., the world’s largest global temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, in partnership with the Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA), has certified its Jourdan Road facility in New Orleans East as a Class 3 Public Bonded Warehouse, marking Lineage's first customs bonded facility in Louisiana. This facility uniquely offers both customs bonded storage and public import house (I-House) services, enabling secure storage of goods under U.S. Customs supervision until duties are paid and on-site USDA inspections for imported food. These enhancements streamline the import process for temperature-sensitive goods like beef, pork, seafood, and specialty meats, reducing delays and costs for businesses and consumers. The 304,000-square-foot facility's strategic location near major protein producers, shipping lanes, and intermodal networks strengthens Louisiana's role as a critical Gulf Coast trade hub. Lineage now operates 12 bonded warehouses and 42 USDA-approved I-House facilities nationwide, reflecting its strategy to bolster global cold chain infrastructure.
