Pedestrians Killed in Essex, Pittsfield Township Crashes
Two separate pedestrian fatalities occurred recently in Essex, Vermont, and Pittsfield Township, Michigan. In Essex, a man was struck by a vehicle while walking in dark clothing on Park Street near Five Corners shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, and despite attempts at CPR, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, in Pittsfield Township, a 42-year-old man was killed Wednesday evening after being hit by a Ford Escape as he crossed Carpenter Road in front of the vehicle, which had a green light at the time. The crash occurred during rainy conditions, and both investigations are ongoing, with police urging witnesses to come forward. In both cases, the identities of the victims have not been released pending family notifications.
