Peak XV Launches AI-First Surge 11 Cohort With 23 Startups Across Asia-Pacific

Peak XV, formerly Sequoia Capital India & Southeast Asia, has announced the 11th cohort of its Surge early-stage startup program, featuring 23 startups with a strong emphasis on AI-led solutions across sectors like manufacturing, semiconductors, finance, and consumer marketing. This cohort is the most AI-focused to date, with 12 startups leveraging AI technologies, alongside four fintech ventures and several consumer brands. Notable founders include cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, co-founder of sportswear brand Ten x You, Olympic medalist Grant Brits leading an AI-powered trading platform, and Siddhant Jayakumar, an ex-Google DeepMind engineer heading Finster, an AI financial services platform. Surge, launched in 2019, has supported over 170 startups that have raised more than $3 billion in follow-on funding, with its top companies generating over $1 billion in annual revenues. The program offers extensive mentorship, product development workshops, and culminates in an international immersion in the U.S., signaling its global ambitions. The startups span markets across India, the Asia-Pacific region, and beyond, illustrating Peak XV's commitment to fostering innovation in AI, fintech, and consumer sectors.
